We know that when you’re thinking of taking to the skies to jet off for that well earned escape from reality, getting the views and opinions of other travellers on where to go is a step up from the blurb you read in brochures or on the web. So that’s why we give you the chance to shout about your tips and recommendations to fellow Thomson travellers by leaving reviews about the resorts and accommodation you’ve stayed in.
But is that enough? Nah, we don’t think so. Which is why we’ve joined forces with the largest travel community in the world – TripAdvisor. With over ten millions reviews and opinions, now you can read more reviews than ever before. And now for the best bit. All reviews are completely unbiased, so forget polite loyal customers smoothing the edges. What you see is what you get.
What does it all mean?
- All reviews include simple rating scores from 1 (Poor) to 5 (Excellent).
- Check out the overall rating to find out what people think - overall.
- Keep an eye out for the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Award badge on some of our accommodation. These prestigious awards are given annually and represent the best rated out there.
- Key facilities and services are scored out of 5 for each and every review
- Who would it suit – from seniors to singles? Tell us what you think.
Where to find reviews
Over 2000 of our hotels and villas already have TripAdvisor reviews. But that’s just a snippet of our accommodation so we’re continuing to work with TripAdvisor to ensure we have reviews for 100% of our accommodation.
Reviews are easy to find. Just look for the TripAdvisor Traveller rating displayed at the top of the accommodation page. Click on this and we’ll show the 5 most recent reviews along with the average rating for each. And if you still want to see more, all you need to do is simply click on a review title and you'll be taken to all the reviews on that accommodation.
Over time, our aim is to include TripAdvisor reviews within all our search results so they’ll be even easier to find and you can see how an accommodation scores at a glance.
Finally, the full number of reviews for the accommodation is displayed something like this - “Reviews in English (1-5 of 863). To get to these, simply click on the link and you’ll be taken to a new TripAdvisor window with all the reviews at your fingertips. It really couldn’t be easier.
